EuropaCorp reports that it has a major U.S. TV network interested in its TV adaptation of the film series TRANSPORTER, according to Deadline.com. Lagardere Entertainment is financing the $48 million 12-episode series. Jason Statham originated the role of Frank Martin, a messenger who will deliver any package without question.

This adds another television production to EuropaCorp's growing slate, which includes NIKITA, TAKEN and ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES. Earlier this year, the company bought Cipango to help build its TV business.
