MTV has ordered a pilot based on the 1980s flick TEEN WOLF, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The original film found teen Michael J. Fox discovering that his family came from a long line of werewolves.

SVP of development Liz Gateley told the trade that the series will have more of an AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON vibe. CRIMINAL MINDS creator Jeff Davis wrote the pilot script and will exec produces alongside Marty Adelstein (Fox's PRISON BREAK) and Rene Echevarria (ABC's CASTLE).
