SyFy has picked up the basic cable rights to MERLIN, reports VARIETY. The deal stuck with FremantleMedia includes the 26-episode first season, which aired on NBC, and the second season. The series will debut on SyFy in April. The third season will premiere on BBC One in September. The cast includes Colin Morgan, Bradley James, Anthony Head, Richard Wilson, Katie McGrath and Angel Coulby.

Additionally, the network has hired Emily Rose (JOHN FROM CINCINNATI) to star in their new series, HAVEN, based on Stephen King's THE COLORADO KID. Rose takes the role of Audrey Parker, an FBI agent whose investigation of a small town murder leads to the uncovering of supernatural activity. E1 Entertainment is producing the series with funding from Universal Networks Int'l. E1 will handle worldwide distribution. Scott Shepard and Lloyd Segan are the showrunners. Shawn Piller and E1's John Morayniss and Noreen Halpern are exec producing with pilot writers Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn.
