Starz Readies Spartacus Prequel

Starz has greenlit a six-installment prequel to SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND, reports VARIETY. Lucy Lawless and John Hannah will star. Starz will air the series in January. Production will start this summer in New Zealand. Rob Tapert, Sam Raimi, Joshua Donen and Steven S. DeKnight are the producers.
