Sony Inks Toon Pilots with FOX
Sony Pictures TV is set to bring three animated pilots to FOX, reports Variety.
Exec producers Josh Faure-Brac and Doug Robinson are developing SO CAL, which centers on a family that tries to shed the tech-advanced world for a more relaxed life in Southern California.
Kevin Cecil (SLACKER CATS), Andy Riley (ROBBIE THE REINDEER), Anthony and Joe Russo (COMMUNITY) are working on SWELL, which follows a family from the 1950s transported into modern America.
Sony, 20th Century Fox TV and Jamie Tarses' Fanfare will co-produce SUNFLOWER PONDS. In the pilot, a suburb is turned upside down when two strange brothers move into the neighborhood. Tarses (THE SIMPSONS), Donick Cary (THE SIMPSONS), CRANK YANKERS' Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne are exec producing.
