The Songdo Animation Center is now under construction in Seoul, South Korea, reports Variety. The 18-story complex near the Incheon Intl. Airport will be the home of Dong Woo's Songdo Anipark Co. and Hong Kong's Juna Intl. The center is part of the Incheon Free Economic Zone initiative, which sets out to build state-of-the-art sector for the visual media industry. The hope is that the zone will attract foreign investment and create over 1,500 animation jobs.

Dong Woo is best known for animating such Warner Bros. series as SCOOBY-DOO, TEEN TITANS and BATMAN.
