Reelz Channel has snatched up the rights to miniseries THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, reports Deadline.com. The cable net has set Dec. 4 for its premiere. The mini originally aired on Starz.

Based on Ken Follett’s book, the story is a conspiracy tale set during the reign of King Stephen and the Anarchy. The cast includes Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell and Donald Sutherland.
