RE-ANIMATED, Cartoon Network’s first original movie, premieres on Dec. 8, 2006, at 8:00 pm. The two-hour animated/live-action movie, tells the story of a 12-year-old boy whose life is turned upside-down after an accident at an amusement park. A three-minute special preview trailer of RE-ANIMATED may be viewed at www.cartoonnetwork.com/reanimated_preview.

Seventh-grader Jimmy Roberts (Dominic Janes, ER) collides with a park trolley while visiting the famous Gollyworld theme park, resulting in an emergency brain transplant that will change his world forever. He receives the frozen brain of the famous cartoonist Milt Appleday (comedy veteran Fred Willard). Now Jimmy sees all of Milt Appleday’s cartoon characters in the real world. Golly Gopher, Dolly Gopher, Crocco the Alligator and the rest of the Appleday cartoon gang come to life, but only in Jimmy’s (or Milt’s) brain.

RE-ANIMATED is set in a world where brain transplants are considered outpatient surgery, his sister is an alien with green skin, his dad acts like a toddler, his mom is an astronaut and the villain's best friend is a bag of cash. It’s a world that sometimes feels so cartoony that the cartoons in Jimmy’s head are the only parts that feel sane.

Micah Karns plays Craig, Jimmy’s best friend; Eunice Cho is Robin, Jimmy’s crush; Matt Knudsen is Sonny, Milt Appleday’s evil son who’s trying to steal his father’s brain back from Jimmy; Bil Dwyer is Jimmy’s Dad; Rachel Quaintance is Jimmy’s Mom; and Rhea Lando is Yancy, Jimmy’s alien stepsister.

Actors Paul Reubens, Tom Kenny, Ellen Greene and Brian Posehn provide the voices of the Appleday cartoon characters that come to life only for Jimmy.

RE-ANIMATED is created and written by Adam Pava and Tim McKeon (FOSTER’S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, THE LIFE & TIMES OF JUNIPER LEE). The film is directed by New York-based filmmaker Bruce Hurwit. RE-ANIMATED is a Renegade Animation, Appleday Pictures and Cartoon Network production.

Cartoon Network (CartoonNetwork.com), seen in nearly 91 million U.S. homes and 160 countries around the world, is Turner Broadcasting System Inc.’s ad-supported cable service offering original, acquired and classic animated entertainment for kids and families. Overnight from 11:00 pm-6:00 am Sunday-Thursday, Cartoon Network shares its channel space with Adult Swim, a late-night destination showcasing original and acquired animation for young adults 18-34.
