Playhouse Disney has picked up the rights to eco-friendly pre-school toon, THE HIVE, reports VARIETY. The series follows a family of eco-conscience bees.

Created by U.K.-based The Hive Enterprises and distributor Bejuba! Ent., the CG series was produced by Lupus Films, Monumental Productions and DQ Entertainment International.

Disney will air it early next year over global satellite broadcast to 150 countries. The show will debut in the U.K. on ITV's GMTV.
