As part of a new programming strategy, Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop’s educational network NOGGIN will be unveiling its new programming schedule on April 1, 2002. The network will extend its preschool-aimed programming by three hours with a daytime block called "Noggin," airing from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (ET). Premiering in this block beginning April 1st at 9:00 am is the new preschooler series PLAY WITH ME SESAME, featuring Muppet characters Ernie, Bert, Grover and Prairie Dawn. Among other classic programs included in the block are SESAME STREET, BLUE'S CLUES and LITTLE BEAR, and the network will also air the original short-form series’ OOBI and the CGI-animated TINY PLANETS. In the evenings, NOGGIN will switch to programming aimed at tweens (kids age 9-14 years old) with "The N," a block featuring original and acquired series anchored by the live-action drama DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION. "The N" will air from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (ET). Two new Websites will also be launched to accompany the programming blocks: www.noggin.com/ and www.the-n.com/.
