Nickelodeon has announced its new programming schedule for the summer. Beginning Monday, July 2, at 8 pm, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS will join the primetime line-up. SpongeBob will host Nickelodeon's annual "Summer Splash," a daily, three-hour animation marathon beginning Monday, June 18, airing weekday afternoons from 2-5 pm. The "Summer Splash" line-up will include RUGRATS on Mondays; ROCKETPOWER on Tuesdays; THE WILD THORNBERRYS on Wednesdays; HEY ARNOLD! on Thursdays; and CATDOG on Fridays. Starting Monday, June 18, Nick Jr. will start airing one-hour blocks of BLUE'S CLUES from 9-10 am, BOB THE BUILDER from 10-11 am, DORA THE EXPLORER from 11 am - 12 pm; and LITTLE BILL from 12-1 p.m. Beginning July 7, SNICK will present a Nick Flick original animated movie each week at 8 pm. Original Nick Flicks based on favorite Nicktoon series include AS TOLD BY GINGER (July 7); HEY ARNOLD! (July 25) and THE WILD THORNBERRYS (September 15). On Saturday, July 21, SNICK will also present the hour-long RUGRATS' 10th Anniversary special, featuring the babies as tweens.
