After CBS cut its order to 13 recently, the writing on the wall seemed certain of a cancellation for MEDIUM. Now Deadline.com reports that the series has officially received the ax. The series finale will air on Jan. 21.

The Patricia Arquette-starrer ran for six seasons on NBC before that network cancelled the show. CBS saved it for its seventh, and now final, season. The show was produced by CBS TV and airs in syndication on Lifetime.
