Illumitoon Ent. Ltd. announced that it has licensed GET RIDE! AM DRIVER for release in the U.S. The series is an action-adventure drama that focuses on the exploits of a young group of warriors, known as AM Drivers, as they battle a dominating empire of machines. The series was developed by ADK, and is backed by Japanese toy company Konami.

“We’re thrilled to add this very exciting series to our U.S. launch,” says Barry Watson, the ceo/president of Illumitoon. “ It combines ultramodern, futuristic technology with engaging excitement.”

The series was produced in 2004 in Japan and features 51 half-hour episodes. U.S. release is anticipated for early 2007.

The acquisition follows Illumitoon’s announcement of its license for Toei Animation’s popular series BEET THE VANDEL BUSTER.

Illumitoon Ent. Ltd. (www.illumitoon.com) is a newly formed collaboration of business and creative professionals focused on delivering customized entertainment to the North American markets. Illumitoon was founded in January of this year by three former execs from FUNimation and has focused on acquiring popular anime content while repositioning them for maximum accessibility in the U.S.
