Harvey Birdman Finale on Adult Swim

After six memorable years, the HARVEY BIRDMAN, ATTORNEY AT LAW animated series on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim comes to a close with the final episode to air in a 30-minute special on July 22, 2007, at 11:45 pm.

HARVEY BIRDMAN, ATTORNEY AT LAW helped launch Adult Swim and was part of the first original lineup on the now highly rated late-night network for young adults. The series, which was an instant success and received immediate critical acclaim upon its debut, is now retiring after 39 episodes.

Harvey Birdman was an aging, B-list superhero with bad knees before he turned in his cape and cowl to become the token cartoon lawyer at Sebben & Sebben. Harvey Birdman's client roster includes animated heavyweights Fred Flintstone, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy and Grape Ape, to name a few. After 38 legal cases in the courtroom, his superpowers are still in his blood. In his last farewell, Harvey shows that he can be super on the streets as well.

In the 39th episode, "The Death of Harvey," Harvey's 38 cases are ordered a "re-do," and he falls into a drunken depression, until the Birdteam comes to his rescue. Harvey transforms into the superhero lawyer he was meant to be, just in time to defend the city from a former client, Nitron, who is wreaking havoc. Will Harvey be able to save the day or does he die, like the title clearly suggests? And, will X finally obtain the crest?

Based on characters created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, HARVEY BIRDMAN, ATTORNEY AT LAW was created by Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter. The series premiered in Sept. 2001, debuting simultaneously with Adult Swim.
