Disney Channel Making Russian Home

Disney Channel has gained a five-year cable TV license from the official Russian federal agency, VARIETY reports. Disney Russia will gear programming toward Russian family audiences. Last year, Disney tried to start up a terrestrial network with Media One Holdings, but the federal agency rejected its application.
