Producer Mike Medavoy is teaming up with FremantleMedia Enterprises for a new multiplatform production called DINOSAURS RESURRECTED, reports VARIETY. The franchise will take a page from PLANET EARTH and produce both an HD TV series and narrative feature.

The production will bring to life the cutting-edge findings of paleontologists in CG. The feature film will be presented in 3-D as well. The TV series will arrive in 2011.

Medavoy will produce via his Geffen-Medavoy Pictures, a doc house he started with Anthony Geffen. FremantleMedia will rep international sales and is looking for book, DVD, merchandising, videogame and live event deals.

Doc company Atlantic Prods. will also be part of the production, and visual effects will be provided by Zoo.
