The CW has renewed THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and SUPERNATURAL, reports Deadline.com. With these early pick ups, this puts fellow genre series NIKITA on the bubble. DIARIES is the network's highest rated series. Now in its second season, the supernatural drama averages 4 million viewers. In its sixth season, SUPERNATURAL, along with exiting series SMALLVILLE, has increased the network's Friday rating by 60%.
