Having secured a first-season run of 20 half-hours for its new animated reality series LIFE'S A ZOO on Canada's TELETOON, Cuppa Coffee Studios has now set its sights on the U.S. The new stop-motion show aimed at teens and up delivers a new spin on the reality television genre while also pushing a distinctly indie-music angle.

Cuppa Coffee President and Exec Producer Adam Shaheen, who is spearheading U.S. sales, noted "TELETOON originally ordered 13 episodes and liked the show so much that they ordered seven more before we'd finished penning the first bunch. It showed their belief in the brand and has undoubtedly helped raise the show's profile in the U.S."

According to Shaheen, the timing couldn't be better, with the writers strike forcing many U.S. broadcasters to scramble to fill time slots. LIFE'S A ZOO will debut in Canada this fall.
