Cartoon Network Picks Up 3-D Rabbit Feature from China
Cartoon Network has acquired the rights to Tianjin North Film Studio's 3-D feature LEGEND OF THE RABBIT, reports Variety. The network plans to air the $12 million Chinese production in Australia, New Zealand, India and Taiwan.
The film will hit Asian theaters in July with Cartoon Network airing it on TV six to eight months after.
Sun Lijun, head of the Beijing Film Academy's animation school, directed the film. Beijing Century Butterfly co-produced.
