Cartoon Network Matches Up Basketball Stars & Toons

NBA All-Stars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Francis and Jason Kidd - will team with animated shorts about sports during Cartoon Network's CARTOON NETWORK NBA ALL-STAR SLAM, airing, Feb. 15, 2004, from 1-5:00 pm. The players will give Cartoon Network stars like JOHNNY BRAVO, THE KIDS NEXT DOOR and DEXTER tips on how to handle themselves on and off the court.

Speedy Steve Francis of the Houston Rockets takes on Ed, Edd and Eddy in a game of 1-on-3. The Mayor talks trash with the L.A. Clippers' Corey Magette. While Karl Malone wants to show Johnny Bravo the keys to success on the court, Johnny would rather scope out the Laker cheerleaders.

Among the other powerful "double-teams" slated for the four-hour marathon:

* Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets) and Dexter (DEXTER'S LABORATORY)* Kenyon Martin (New Jersey Nets) and Ed, Edd and Eddy (ED, EDD N EDDY)* Karl Malone (L.A. Lakers) and Johnny Bravo (JOHNNY BRAVO)* Cory Magette (L.A. Clippers) with Zan and Jayna (SUPERFRIENDS) and Billy, Mandy and Grim (THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY)* Elton Brand (L.A. Clippers) and Muriel (COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG)* Malik Rose (San Antonio Spurs) and Mandark (DEXTER'S LABORATORY)* Corey Magette (L.A. Clippers) and the Mayor (THE POWERPUFF GIRLS)* Steve Francis (Houston Rockets) and Ed, Edd and Eddy (ED, EDD N EDDY)* LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) and the Kids Next Door (CODENAME: KIDS NEXT DOOR)

Cartoons to air during the Cartoon Network NBA All-Star Slam include Dexter's embarrassing failure at every sport imaginable, Johnny Bravo's cross-dressing turn on a ladies' softball team and some serious Sumo wrestling on ED, EDD N EDDY.
