Camelot Reborn at Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network will bring REBORN (working title) to the small screen, a re-telling of the legend of King Arthur that will be live action, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The toon network has been pushing toward the live-action side, with more than half of their new 19 shows and movies to be live action. Lionsgate president of motion picture production Alli Shearmur will exec produce with Travis Wright, who also wrote the project.
The film is a modern re-telling of the legend, with archetypal characters from the legend transported to the present. Shearmur developed the idea as a former Paramount and Universal production exec. Cartoon Network VP Ramsey Naito will oversee the film, now in development at Cartoon Network.
