Singapore production house Big Communications will team with South Korean character design shop Sieun Design to bring one of the Seoul firm's brands to TV, reports C21 MEDIA from the Asia TV Forum. RPENG BINI ("Penguin & Bunny") will be launched next April at MipTV, according to Big Communications MD Vincent Lim, who also said the show's two penguin and rabbit characters have already been licensed in Asia.

Big is also developing an action series with Sieun called THE CHRONICLES OF OUJO, which Lim described as "an animated mix of Indiana Jones and Harry Potter." Aimed at boys 5-10, the show follows children who enlist in an Adventurers Academy, where they learn how to discover treasure, cast spells and fight evil. A pilot is slated for 2008 and Big is also looking for a game developer for the property.

Big's development slate also includes THE UNSUPERHEROES, which follows a town's auditions for superheroes, and possibly a CG project being developed with The Jim Henson Company.

Big previously made ZIGBY with Canada's Thunderbird Films and Australia's Flying Bark Prods., and has also produced animation with Germany's EM.TV and New Zealand's Flux Animation.
