BBC has tapped Howard Brenton (TV's MI-5) to script a miniseries adaptation of Philip K. Dick's THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, reports Variety. The four-part miniseries will air on BBC1.

The classic alternative history tale speculates how the world would be if the Axis Powers would have won WWII.

Scott Free Films, Headline Pictures and Electric Shepherd Productions are also producing. FremantleMedia Enterprises and BBC will develop the project with FME repping the distribution rights.
