2012 TV Series in the Works
Director Roland Emmerich told ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY that a TV series is in the works based on his upcoming film 2012. Executive producer Mark Gordon will be part of the series, which will follow the aftermath of the film. 2012 writer/producer Harald Kloser and Emmerich concocted the idea for the TV series, tentatively titled 2013.
Rumors say Gordon has pitched the idea to ABC as a replacement for LOST when it ends its run next year.

Although it sounds like it might be quite an expensive series, if its to be done right. Using abandoned buildings and old warehouses won't hold water. But, if done right, could be quite an impressive series.
