Teletoon is taking to the highway this summer to deliver a truly animated experience to families across Canada with the Teletoon 2008 Tour. Last year’s successful tour was attended by almost one million individuals and this year’s edition, beginning June 27, is set to reach even more cartoon fans as Teletoon travels coast to coast, taking part in some of the most well attended festivals and events of the summer.
This year Teletoon welcomes ExpressVu, digital TV from Bell as a tour sponsor as well as Spin Master Ltd. and Cookie Jar Entertainment and invites visitors to meet the Teletoon tour crew and get animated with games, trivia and prizes and gives attendees a sneak-peak of what Teletoon and Teletoon Retro have in store for fall. At Teletoon.com, Teletoon fans will be able to find more information on the tour, meet the members of tour crew and find out how The Tour is going as the crew sends regular updates using Twitter.

Alongside the Teletoon Animated Stage on which kids can test out their cartoon-trivia and win some great Teletoon swag, each stop of The Teletoon 2008 Tour will include the Teletoon.com Play Tent where kids can try their skills against a selection of Teletoon online games as well as the popular Teletoon Photo Booth where visitors can have their photo taken with a choice of ten Teletoon or Teletoon Retro characters including BEN 10, The gang from 6TEEN and SCOOBY-DOO.
On the tour with Teletoon this year, ExpressVu, digital TV from Bell will be at all tour locations offering visitors a special Bell ExpressVu Game Galaxy interactive game to try in the Teletoon.com Play Tent and an exclusive Game Galaxy background to pose with in the Teletoon Photo Booth. ExpressVu, digital TV from Bell will also be providing a Pause area, a place to relax where visitors can experience PVR demonstrations, learn about Bell ExpressVu services and watch choice Teletoon shows.
Spin Master brings the hit action show and strategic game, BAKUGAN to the Teletoon 2008 Tour with a special area where kids can learn how to use their Bakugan Battle Brawlers to beat opponents while more skilled players can take-on challengers in the exciting Bakugan Play Zone. In addition to the hands-on BAKUGAN experience, fans of the show can also have their picture taken with popular BAKUGAN characters in the Teletoon Photo Booth and take part in a Bakugan activity on the Teletoon Animated Stage.
Cookie Jar Ent. also joins the tour this year with activities on the Teletoon Animated Stage dedicated to the souped-up antics of Johnny, star of JOHNNY TEST as well as the adventures of Prince Nestor and the heroic Quest, stars of the new Teletoon action comedy series, WORLD OF QUEST coming to Teletoon this fall. JOHNNY TEST and a WORLD OF QUEST backgrounds will also appear in the Teletoon Photo Booth.
