TELETOON Springs Up Five New Promotions In March

TELETOON has teamed with five marketers to bring five new promotional initiatives to fans this March.

First time partner Effem Inc. has signed on for a three-month Skittles candy campaign debuting March 27 on TELETOONs English network. In addition, TELETOON will connect with kids via its teletoon.com site, with a new micro-site, featuring an original online game. Players slide down the Skittles rainbow ride at an increasing speed, trying to avoiding obstacles. Kids who post the highest scores can win prizes. Kids can also win prizes by entering a Skittles UPC code on the site. The campaign is also supported on-air, where one kid per day will win one of three prize packs, for a total of 112 winners.

In addition, TELETOON is celebrating Marchs school break by offering more action with the addition of four new promotional initiatives.

The "Catch Your Big Break On TELETOON" contest gives kids have a chance to win a guest spot on the Nelvana produced series, 6TEEN. The custom micro-site will feature the contest entry form, details on March Break programmingincluding daily 6TEEN airings, and custom 6TEEN games.

The contest winner, one lucky fan per English and French network, will be flown to either Toronto or Montreal where their voice will be recorded and their likeness animated for their guest role on the new 6TEEN special airing on TELETOON in the fall of 2006. In addition, they will enjoy a three night hotel stay, and receive $300 spending money. The winners animated escapade will be videotaped for an exclusive behind the-scenes video, which will feature excerpts from the recording session and the design and animation of their character. The contest runs between March 6 and March 26, on both the English and French networks, and is open to kids aged 6 to 16.

The "Flood Your Entry Pool" ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN contest is in support of the March 31 theatrical release of ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN. For a four-week period starting March 6, kids accessing the TELETOON website will be encouraged to play a new game, FLOOD YOUR ENTRY, an online mix and match activity featuring ICE AGE II characters. A total of 25 ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN prize packs will be handed out, which will include ICE AGE prizes from the following suppliers Mattel, Harper Collins, Xbox and Fox Home Ent.

The MY LITTLE PONY "Dancing In The Clouds" contest is in support of the MY LITTLE PONY half-hour special DANCING IN THE CLOUDS, geared to kids 2-6. Airing at 3:00 pm on Mondays and Fridays, from March 20 to April 14, 2006, Hasbro is inviting moms to log on to the special MY LITTLE PONY microsite at teletoon.com to win a MY LITTLE PONY party for their child and 15 friends, while 10 runner-up winners will receive a MY LITTLE PONY Prize package.

With boys 6-12 years-old in mind, the "BIONICLE 2 FOR 1" contest centers on Piraka a new property from LEGO BIONICLE. Live for three weeks (March 27-April 16), the "Bionicle 2 for 1" minisite will be supported by on-air spots during TELETOON's KAPOW! lineup and will feature LEGO Co.-produced Pirakha character episodes. The microsite will host BIONICLE toys and character information, and the contest entry form; 10 lucky winners will win two Piraka prize packs, one for them, and one for a friend. One Grand Prize winner will win two Piraka prize packs, two DVDs and two portable DVD Players.
