Teletoon Signs Deal for Sardine’s ‘Toonmart Marty’

Sardine Productions partners with Teletoon to produce the original series Toonmart Marty.

Montreal, Canada -- Montreal-based Sardine Productions has signed a deal with Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON to produce 40 X 11 minute episodes of the original series Toonmart Marty. An original idea by a group of young creators, Robin Balzano, Pascale Beaulieu, Paul Stoica and Frederick Wolfe, the project is the direct outcome of a script writing workshop offered by l’INIS and supported by TELETOON from its inception.

Marty is the biggest thing to ever hit ToonVille! Literally. When Marty, the poster boy of the Toonmart is zapped to life in a freak accident, his life changes forever.  Now that Marty can move, there’s no stopping him. It’s a cartoon party!!!

Toonmart Marty’s zany look and feel makes it a perfect fit for TELETOON,” said Athena Georgaklis, Manager, Original Production, TELETOON. “We believe in fun and that’s what this show is all about.”

Toonmart Marty is an incursion into the life of Marty; a cartoon on a mission to turn every day into a party.” says Madeleine Lévesque, VP Content, Sardine Productions. “With Sean Scott on board as director, every episode will feel just like one.”
