Teletoon Signs 'Chop Chop Ninja' Development Deal

Montreal-based Sardine Productions in co-production with Gamerizon Studio, have signed a development deal with TELETOON Canada to bring the CHOP CHOP NINJA universe to television screens and beyond.

Montreal, Canada -- Montreal-based Sardine Productions in co-production with Gamerizon Studio, have signed a development deal with TELETOON Canada to bring the CHOP CHOP NINJA universe to television screens and beyond. The CHOP CHOP NINJA downloadable game has reached more than 5 million downloads worldwide. A second game, CHOP CHOP NINJA WORLD, is in production for release in 2012.

The series follows lead character and super ninja Iro who decides to defend his town from evil overlords and their evil underlings while attempting to win the coveted title of CHOP CHOP NINJA. The television series and new game will be inextricably linked in numerous and novel ways to create a truly transmedia experience and new benchmark in the industry. The partnership brings together experts in their fields who understand the importance of a multiple screen and multiple format approach in building success in 2012. The project includes 52 X 11 minute episodes, 52 X 1 minute episodes as well as original web based material.
