TELETOON Offers Special Father’s Day Programming In June

Its Fathers Day and TELETOON pays tribute to dads everywhere with special daddy dearest programming on Sunday, June 19 including:

* ATOMIC BETTY 9:30 am The Really Big Game/And the Winner Is

In The Really Big Game, Betty and her Dad are competing in a fishing derby with Penelope and her father. But Betty gets called into space, because DeGill has been captured by his old nemesis, the big game hunter, Pontifadora the Conquistadora. Betty must help DeGill in time to return to the fishing derby.

In And the Winner Is, Maximus is to receive an award for his newest destructive weapon, The Overloader. Betty must go to the convention centre spaceship to monitor the ceremony.

* THE JETSONS 2:30 pm Far Out Father

Its Father's Day, and for his school Fathers Day project Elroy decides to film George in his everyday life, he also uses the camera to follow a lovesick Astro.


Young Peters birthday is coming up, and hes looking forward to spending the weekend with his overworked father, a scientist at the local museum. But when he gets called in to work on a new exhibit that will house a genuine caveman, Peter gets angry and deactivates the cavemans cryogenic chamber, hoping to ruin everythinginstead, the caveman awakens!

While the young kids sleep, fathers and their teen kids can watch The Detour on TELETOON and enjoy a FAMILY GUY marathon.

In addition, for the first time ever, TELETOON presents SILVERWING, based on the internationally acclaimed novels by Canadian author Kenneth Oppel, as a three-part feature length CINETOON movie starting Sunday, June 5 and running for three consecutive Sundays at 4:00 pm.

Produced by Vancouvers Bardel Ent., the trilogy follows the odyssey of Silverwing, a teenage bat who gets separated from his colony after breaking the law of darkness, which has sentenced bats to never look at the sun. In doing so, he unknowingly sets in motion a chain of events that threaten his forest homes fragile peace.

On CINETOON in June, the channel has a host of animated specials on Sundays at 5:00 pm.

SCOOBY-DOO AND THE LOCH NESS MONSTER will air on Saturday, June 4. Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. travel to Scotland to visit Daphne's relatives at Blake Castle, which is situated on Loch Ness, home of the legendary creature who has recently been stalking Daphne's cousin Fiona. The gang teams up with scientist Penelope Miller, who, after her first sighting of the beast a few years ago, left a prestigious job at the Scotland Natural History Museum to track down the infamous monster.

DRAGONS: FIRE & ICE will air on Saturday, June 11. In a Time of Legends, two kingdoms the Draigar and the Norvagen have been at war for a thousand years. The Great Dragons who brought Peace and Wisdom through their Krystals of Power have almost completely vanished, and each side especially Prince Dev of the Norvagen and Princess Kyra of the Draigar blames the other for the noble beasts' disappearance. Only a mysterious wizard named Xenoz seems to have any clue to the mystery until the momentous day when Thoron, the huge black Dragon King, appears through the Portal from Dragon World bearing great gifts and an even greater adventure for the two young royals!

DAFFY DUCK QUACKBUSTERS will air on Saturday, June 18. Daffy Duck, the fearless, fast-talking fowl, is the star of this hilariously haunting tale of greed and ghosts. Tormented by a pesky apparition, Daffy recruits his old friends in a new venture as Daffy Duck's Quackbusters. Down on his luck, Daffy befriends a billionaire who pays any price for a good laugh. Daffy keeps the magnate chortling uncontrollably until he dies laughing -- literally -- bequeathing the lucky duck his fortune. But when greedy Daffy fails to carry out his benefactor's wishes, the guffawing ghost returns from the grave.
