Teletoon Names New Interactive Director

Teletoon Canada has appointed Caroline Soucy to the position of Director Teletoon Interactive. Soucy will lead Teletoon interactive and web development projects and supervise all aspects of the award-winning website teletoon.com, the recent winner of the Promax/BDA Silver Award for Consumer Website.

Soucy has proven record of innovative online business development and a passion for interactive research and metrics. In her new position, she will be charged with developing an interactive strategy to support growth and introduce content to continuously build site traffic. Additionally, Soucy will manage the workflow of Teletoon major interactive initiatives.

Soucy has played an active role in the Canadian kids' entertainment and online gaming industries for over 13 years, including positions at YTV.com, TVOKids.com and Microsoft MissionX, an online kids' community. She also produced and managed many websites for Corus Entertainment, including WNetwork.com, CMTCanada.com and screamtv.com.

Teletoon has also promoted Libby Brewer-Dulac to Manager, Content and Design, Teletoon Interactive. Brewer-Dulac, whose primary role has been in the creative direction of the teletoon.com, will take on additional responsibilities of internal and external content development and working closely with Teletoon producer partners.

The award-winning website teletoon.com sees over 1.5 million visits and over 2.5 million game plays per month. With sticky content drawing kids to play games, enter contests, watch video clips and find out more about their favourite cartoons, the site boasts an average time spent per visit of nearly 15 minutes.

Teletoon Canada brings kids, youth and adults the best in animated entertainment with four nationwide specialty television channels, Teletoon English and French, and Teletoon Retro English and French. Founded in 1997, Teletoon Canada is owned by Astral Media (50%) and Corus Entertainment (50%).
