Teletoon Launches Campaign for Top Five Retro Heroes

This summer TELETOON Retro invites viewers to vote for their favorite cartoon do-gooders in the TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame Top 5 Heroes campaign.

Toronto, ON – Is Batman the most valiant crime fighter? Would you trust Optimus Prime above all others? This summer TELETOON Retro seeks the answers to these questions by inviting viewers to vote for their favorite cartoon do-gooders in the TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame Top 5 Heroes campaign.

Starting Monday, May 28 and running until Sunday, June 17, viewers can vote for the heroes they hold in the highest regard at teletoonretro.com and Facebook.com/teletoonretro.

TELETOON Retro has narrowed the field to 25 courageous candidates. Fans can choose from the following nominees:

Once the votes have been tallied, fans will find out who was chosen to save the day when the Top 5 Heroes are announced on Tuesday, June 26. A special programming marathon featuring the winners will air as part of the “Retro Rewind” programming block on Sunday, July 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

Each of the Top 5 Heroes will earn a coveted spot in the TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame, joining previous Top 5 winners in the categories of Crushes, Villains, Awesome Animals, Sweethearts and All-time Favourite Characters. To view past TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame inductees, visit teletoonretro.com.
