Tehran International Animation Festival Issues Call for Entries

The Tehran International Animation Festival issues a call for entries for the 2013 edition of the festival, to be held March 3 – 7, 2013.

TEHRAN --

Kanoon, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, announced a call for entries for the eighth edition of the Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF).

The Institute is an Iranian cultural organization that has produced over 400 short and feature films. The festival provides an opportunity for artists to exchange ideas, as well as to discover and encourage young animators to innovate and create while developing their abilities through new techniques and perspectives.

The festival is categorized in four sections: Competition, non-competitive category, Special Screening and Panorama. The International Competition is open to foreign films produced after January 2009 which have not participated in previous editions of the festival. An international jury consisting of at least five artists and specialists will judge the entries. Prizes include awards for Best Animation, Best Student Animation and Best Advertising Animation.

TIAF will be held March 3 - 7, 2013. The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2012. For more information and entry rules, visit www.tehran-animafestival.ir.
