TechTV Announces New Program Line Up

Highlighted by the premiere of '60s cult series THUNDERBIRDS, U.S. cable network TechTV recently announced its 2002-2003 line-up, which focuses on a new programming strategy. "In addition to our existing original programming, TechTV has added more entertainment-based technology programming with a new line up of acquisitions and commissions," explained Greg Drebin, senior vice president of programming and production for TechTV. By way of enhancing the "technical" aspects of THUNDERBIRDS, TechTV has added fun and educational facts to all 32 episodes of the classic puppet-animated series, which premieres on TechTV on Monday, August 5 at 6:30 pm. In addition to bringing back THUNDERBIRDS, TechTV has also revived the '80s cyberpunk series MAX HEADROOM, and retooled its TECH LIVE daily news series into a more topical and feature-driven format that will debut in fall 2002. The network also recently launched EYE DROPS, a weekly series that showcases computer-generated animated short films. TechTV accepts submissions for this series and information can be found at www.techtv.com/eyedrops.
