Colorado-based software development company Spiral Graphics has announced the release of version 3.5 of Genetica, their texture, animation, and HDRI environment map editor.  Genetica is a standalone application available on Windows XP and above.

The new version includes Texture Synthesis, where you can use photographs to quickly create realistic seamless textures.  You can use your own photos or the included library of over a thousand royalty-free high-resolution texture photos.

The program is available in 3 versions with various feature sets – Basic (US$149.00), Pro (US$399) and Studio (US$899.00).
