Rhythm & Hues Sets Up Three Ventures in Taiwan
Rhythm & Hues Studios is launching three new companies in Taiwan, reports Variety. East Grand Films will be a film investment firm, which will work with Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs to bring Hollywood productions to Taiwan. Rhythm & Hues will also set up its sixth vfx studio in Kaohsiung, which joins its campuses in Los Angeles; Vancouver; Hyderabad, India; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thirdly, Rhythm & Hues will partner with Chunghwa Telecom and Quanta Computers to create a cloud-computing center for the animation and visual effects communities. The deals came about when director Ang Lee introduced Rhythm & Hues to the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Lee is working with Rhythm & Hues on his adaptation of LIFE OF PI for Fox.

Rhythm and Hues should be embarassed. Outsourcing to India wasn't saving enough money for you... So now you're outsourcing to Taiwan?
Cheap.
Proud of yourselves, taking away jobs from United States residents?
Disgusting.
