More sneak preview footage from James Cameron’s 3-D epic, AVATAR, will screen at the 2009 Tokyo Film Festival, according to Variety.

 The 16min AVATAR excerpt will premiere on opening day, Oct. 17. Cameron will appear via a pre-taped video message. In 1997, Cameron’s TITANIC made its world premiere at the Tokyo Film Festival.
