Teaching Baby Animay Wins Simplistic Pictures Animation Award

Pete Koelsch has won the Simplistic Pictures Animation Award for his student film, TEACHING BABY ANIMAY. The Simplistic Pictures Animation Award is an annual award granted to the student who submits the most outstanding animated film to The Cleveland Institute of Art's annual E.M.I.T Film Festival.

Koelsch will receive $1,000 in financial aid. Full-time students enrolled in any discipline with the school may submit a film or films for consideration. A jury, to be convened by the chair of the T.I.M.E./Digital Arts Environment, determines the winner. Cleveland Institute of Art graduates Kevin Geiger and Moon Seun fund the scholarship each year, and have chosen to create this award in order to encourage creativity of concept and excellence in execution of animated films by Institute students.
