Constantin Film is working a 3-D animated version of TARZAN, reports VARIETY. Robert Kulzer and Reinhard Klooss will produce the English language film for the German production company.
Constantin purchased the animation rights to the property from Edgar Rice Burroughs' estate. This film will be based on TARZAN OF THE APES, which follows Tarzan's life with the apes after his parents are killed in the jungle.
Constantin's film head Martin Moszkowicz will exec produce.
Klooss has experience with 3-D animated features, having served as the writer, director and producer of ANIMALS UNITED, which is set to hit theaters in the fall.
