Target Ent. has germinated a batch of new licensing deals for Chapman Ent.s preschool property, FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS.

Although the property was only launched at the UK Brand Licensing Show in October 2004, the licensing team at Target has already amassed 34 separate agreements for the U.K., in addition to the master toy, publishing and home entertainment deals already done by Chapman Ent.

The new additions include Impact International for the Head Start TM Learning System, Zeon and Wesco. for a collection of watches and clocks; a diecast range from Corgi.; baking mixes and desserts from McDougalls; a range of nightwear, underwear, greetings gift wrap and puzzles with Marks & Spencer; and a published partwork with Eaglemoss.

These deals come hot on the heels of a series of impressive milestones for the brand. The second series of FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS aired for the first time on Fives Milkshake! on May 1. 2006 and by spring 2007 there will be 104 episodes available to broadcasters. Target recently announced a distribution agreement with Irelands public broadcaster RTE so that 130 territory deals have now been confirmed. Sales on the brand in U.K. retail outlets have now passed the two million unit mark.

Helen Howells Targets director of international licensing said, Im thrilled that we have managed to confirm so many high quality agreements after such a short period of time. FIFI is already experiencing very positive support from the retail community and the addition of Marks & Spencer is particularly pleasing.

Chapman Ent. is the producer of and holds all global rights for FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS, while Vivid Imaginations holds the U.K. master toy license and global master toy manufacturing license.
