Tape House Toons Designs New Director

Tape House Toons, a New York-based full-service animation studio, has appointed award-winning storyboard artist and illustrator Richard Codor as design director. Codor will head and art direct for the growing animation department on all projects, as well as continue storyboarding duties. Codor started his work with Tape House when he supervised the layout work for a series of short animated inserts for THE REAL LIZZIE MCGUIRE, a Disney Channel television pilot. Previously, Codor served as the chief storyboard artist for two seasons of A LITTLE CURIOUS, a pre-school program from HBO family. For Curious Pictures, he also served as the storyboard artist on numerous commercials. In addition, Codor completed storyboards, revisions and character and prop design on both the DOUG series and movie and PB&J OTTER series for Jumbo/Disney, as well as storyboards for Nickelodeon and Nelvana. He also has had cartoons and illustrations published in the NEW YORK TIMES, VILLAGE VOICE, NEW YORK OBSERVER, CRAINS NY BUSINESS MAGAZINE and MARVEL PUBLICATIONS. Tape House executive producer Rob Issen said, "Were excited to have an animator and storyboard artist of Richards caliber as the newest member of the Tape House community. As we quickly continue to expand our core business into episodic and commercial work, his talents will assist us in establishing Tape House as one of the preeminent full service animation studios in New York City."
