Syd Mead Talks the Future of Cars

‘Blade Runner’ concept artist Syd Mead returns to his auto design roots in an interview at the annual Woodward Cruise in Detroit.

Futurist designer Syd Mead, the concept artist who helped design the dystopian world of Ridley Scott’s classic film, Blade Runner, as well as such films as Aliens and Tron, returned to his roots this past August to enjoy the annual Woodward Cruise in Detroit.

While at the show, he dropped by the Autoline set to be a guest on John McElroy's show -- along with Jim Hall from 2953 Analytics and John Manoogian from the College for Creative Studies -- for a lively discussion on the future of the automobile.
