Press Release from BRB Internacional

Suckers and Angus & Cheryl, two of the most modern and fun-filled TV series, from BRB Internacional, have just been acquired in Italy by Switchover Media. Briefly, both will be shown in an open-broadcast format there: Suckers via K2, and Angus & Cheryl by Frisbee. Also, the Italian company’s Licensing Division will be in charge of managing the licensing rights for both properties there.

Suckers (104 x 2’), the slapstick comedy series without dialogue that reflects nothing less than life itself, as seen through car windows, has its new products’ launch in Italy all set to go. In fact, Granni Partner will launch stuffed animals this year for vending-machine sales, featuring the stars of the series, naturally, who are truly original little designer dolls that can adapt to any and all circumstances. The series, co-produced by Screen 21, Genoma Animation, Televisió de Catalunya and distributed globally by BRB, is currently being showing in many countries on channels such as Disney XD – EMEA, Asia and the USA -- and Cartoon Network -- Latin America.

Angus & Cheryl (104 x 2’) is a Pop UP-style comedy without dialogue, offering an endearing vision of the daily adventures (or misadventures) between modern-day boys and girls. Produced by Screen 21, BRB, Tuba Entertainment and Televisió de Catalunya, the series steps over the small-screen line and even has its characters’ profiles on Facebook. This saga, filled with screwball sketches, is currently being show on RTVE’s Clan channel in Spain as well as in several different countries throughout Europe and Latin America, on Nickelodeon.
