Producers Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are coming close to hiring a director for the SUPERMAN reboot, reports Deadline.com. The list of helmers being considered includes Tony Scott (UNSTOPPABLE), Matt Reeves (LET ME IN), Jonathan Liebesman (BATTLE: LOS ANGELES), Duncan Jones (MOON) and Zack Snyder (SUCKER PUNCH).
The reboot will be based on an idea by Nolan that David Goyer wrote the script for.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are producing.
Warner has to get the film rolling in 2012, because it loses rights to character to the heirs of SUPERMAN creator Jerry Siegel in 2013.
