Ayelet Zurer (ANGELS & DEMONS) has been cast as Superman's mother Lara Lor-Van in MAN OF STEEL, reports Deadline.com. Julia Ormond was originally cast in the role. No word has been come out why the change was made on the already in production film.
The cast includes Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon. Zack Snyder is helming the Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures film. Chris Nolan, Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Emma Thomas are the producers.
