Sunbow Entertainment Promotes Creative Execs

Sunbow Entertainment has promoted two members of their staff into newly created positions. Suzanne Berman becomes associate director of creative affairs and Sowon Jun takes on the role of coordinator of creative affairs. Suzanne Berman worked at Sony Wonder, New York from 1997 until winter 2000 when TV-Loonland founded Sunbow Entertainment Inc. out of its acquisition of Sunbow Productions and the entire TV production and distribution business activities of Sony Music Entertainment. Over the period of four years, she steadily rose through the ranks in the development area. In her new position, Berman prides herself on watching cartoons, reading comic books and talking a lot on the phone. In grown up terms, this translates into scouting for new properties, writers and artists, developing concepts, pitching American networks, and producing pilots and series for broadcast. Currently, Berman is handling the post-production of CRAMP TWINS, an offbeat, comical animation series produced by TV-Loonland, Sunbow Entertainment and Cartoon Network UK that premiered on Cartoon Network UK and CBBC (BBCs specialty childrens block) in September 2001. Berman has also worked on the highly acclaimed animation series GENERATION O! for WB and FAT DOG MENDOZA for Cartoon Network Europe. Sowon Jun joined Sony Wonder in 1999, after completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature at Wellesley College. In her new capacity as development coordinator, Sunbow Entertainment, Jun provides the creative affairs team with overall coordination of information and material for each active project at the various stages of development.
