Stuttgart Fest Issues Call for Papers

The Deadline for submissions to the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart academic symposium, “Change and Continuity: Interdisciplinary Aspects of Animation, Comics and Literature,” is February 18, 2013.

Stuttgart, Germany – The Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS), taking place this year April 23 – 28, has issued a call for papers for its one-day academic symposium, “Change and Continuity: Interdisciplinary Aspects of Animation, Comics and Literature.”

The one-day academic symposium will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the Literaturhaus Stuttgart. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 18, 2013.

The symposium is negotiating the interdisciplinary influences between literature, comics and animation. It brings together international scholars, students, academics and artists from diverse fields of research and professional practice to create an interdisciplinary dialogue.

The organizer is the Society of Animation Studies, in collaboration with the ITFS. Partners are the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, the Institute of Media Studies at Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen and the Literaturhaus Stuttgart.
