Studio B Gets Second Season Request On 3 Series

Vancouver-based Studio B Productions has announced that all three of its animated children's series currently airing on Canada's national television have been picked up for another season. "Were very proud to have all three of our original shows picked up for national broadcast," said Blair Peters, partner and founder, Studio B Productions. "There's a lot of competition out there and we're pleased that kids have responded well to our characters and stories." DMYNA LEAGUES follows the wacky baseball adventures of a team of teenage myna birds. Columbia TriStar will continue to manage the distribution of the series. Additional partners include BC Film, Canadian Television Fund (CTF), Telefilm (EIP), CTF License Fee Program (LFP), Shaw Childrens Programming Initiative: the Shaw Television Broadcast Fund and the Dr. Geoffrey R. Conway Fund. WHAT ABOUT MIMI? centers on the hilarious world of Mimi Mortin. The series is in its third season on Teletoon and will be distributed by Decode Entertainment. Other partners include CTF, EIP, LFP and the Canwest Global CWIP fund. YVON OF THE YUKON follows the exploits of a 300 year-old recently unfrozen French explorer in Upyermukluk and his friend Tommy. The series is in its second season on YTV and will be distributed by Alliance Atlantis Kids. Additional partners for this show include LFP, the Shaw Childrens Programming Initiative: the Shaw Television Broadcast Fund and the Dr. Geoffrey R. Conway Fund.
