Strawberry Shortcake Christmas CD Sells 100,000 Units, More DVDs Coming

DIC Home Entertainment (DIC) and KOCH Entertainment, in partnership with American Greetings, has announced that the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE Christmas music CD, BERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS, has sold more than 100,000 units in one month in release. For the week of Dec. 1, 2003, the CD finished #7 in the Billboard childrens record charts. The CD also broke into the Top 20 of all Independent Label releases landing at #12.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE'S BERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS CD soundtrack features nine tracks from the DVD/home video title released in October by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The CD retails at $5.98 and was promoted in more than one million home videos shipped in October.

In February 2004, KOCH Entertainment will release Strawberry Shortcake's first full-length CD, STRAWBERRY JAMS, featuring all 19 songs showcased in the home videos.

Since re-launching in first quarter 2003, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE has seen more than two million DVD and home video units sold to date. Additionally, iParenting Media selected BERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS and GET WELL ADVENTURES to receive the 2003 Great Holiday Products Awards, which honors the best products in the children's media and juvenile product marketplace.
