For 2009, Aardman Animations' profits fell from £1,061,408 to £469,243, reports Deadline.com. On the books, it looks like the company has a £2.5 million loss for the year, but it is still awaiting a £2.9 million tax credit. The big plummet in profits is said to be due to its TV commercial division having the worst year in the past five years and the company's move to Bristol. Aardman is set to deliver ARTHUR CHRISTMAS to Sony by the close of next year and PIRATES for 2012.
