Stephen Moore Joins Abbey Home Media

British independent distributor, rights owner and producer of programming for children, Abbey Home Media, has appointed Stephen Moore as a partner and shareholder.

Set up in 1989 by Anne and Ian Miles, Abbey Home Media specializes in distributing programming for preschool franchises. These franchises currently include HORRID HENRY from Novel, SESAME STREET from Sesame Workshop, THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT from Pathe, SPOT from Penguin and PADDINGTON BEAR and THE WOMBLES from Cookie Jar's FilmFair Catalogue.

As a producer and rights owner, Abbey Home Media currently owns SUPERTED and BABY BRIGHT, and a number of projects are in active production at the moment.

A prominent figure in the international entertainment industry, having held senior positions at both 20th Century Fox and Aardman Animations, Moore says of his appointment, "Since coming back to London from Los Angeles I have had a real desire to become a stakeholder in a business with the pedigree and track record of Abbey. Anne and Ian have built a very special company over the last 20 years and I intend to retain its essential values while building a new creative platform. My experience with both Fox and Aardman has put me in a very strong position to help take Abbey on to the next level."
